Saturday Night Call to Worship: ‘For Your Glory by Matt Redman

Matt Redman has not been known as long as his songs have been. However, he has a nice volume of music out there, and so many of his songs are wonderful. This song is upbeat and fun, and great reminder of the excitement that we can exhibit as we prepare for worship this weekend. ‘For Your Glory,’ has a chorus that draws directly from Psalm 24:7, where David has written:

“Lift up your heads, O gates, And be lifted up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in!” Psalm 24:7 [NASB]

This verse also reminds us of the purpose of our praise, and that is to lift our voices and acknowledge the majesty of God and proclaim His goodness. This is what we are asked to do as we gather for worship each weekend, to proclaim the praise that God is worthy of.

Tomorrow, be ready to proclaim the goodness of God! – Timothy

‘For Your Glory,’ is the ninth track on Matt Redman’s album, We Shall Not Be Shaken.
