Saturday Night Call to Worship – ‘Love Lifted Me’ written by James Rowe

At nearly one hundred years old, ‘Love Lifted Me,’ has been sung in churches across the country for a long time. James Rowe penned the words to the song in 1912, and the chorus is the most familiar part. Simply said, when all else seemed to fail, thoughts of God’s love, or demonstrations of love by others, tend to have a very uplifting effect. Who doesn’t need a little uplifting from time to time? With regards to worship, our love through praise and obedience also elevates God to the place He is due in our hearts. Enjoy the Gaither rendition of this classic hymn, and trust that as you head off to your worship services tomorrow, God has expressions of His love awaiting for you today and each day. – Timothy
